This piece refers to the “raft” of Self-Knowledge as the only way to cross the ocean of samsara and reach the other shore of freedom. Samsara is the never-ending cycle of birth and rebirth.
The time-worn features, the weathered “roof” and ragged “ropes”, speak of the passage of time on the wheel of samsara, and the ongoing perseverance, endurance, and discernment needed to navigate the world’s constantly changing illusory waters. In the center is a little antique clay tile depicting the refuge and joy of Satsang –a gathering in the company of those seeking truth.
Raft can either be hung on a wall or be freestanding on a shelf.
CARE: Please do not use any water or cleansers on the art. Remove dust by carefully and gently cleaning with a small, soft, dry artist paintbrush.
Hardware, including nails, is included. Hang artwork with care and ensure art is secured on the nail before letting go of piece to avoid damage and breakage.
